This once in a lifetime trip leaves Kennedy Meadows traveling 70-80 miles over a span of 8-14 days ending at Tuolumne Meadows in Yosemite National Park. During this trip you will get to travel along the Pacific Crest Trail with extraordinary views and stopping at beautiful lakes. Starting at Kennedy Meadows you will travel through the Emigrant Wilderness stopping at places like Emigrant Meadow Lake and Snow Lake before crossing into Yosemite National Park. You will then be making your way through the breathtaking landscape that the park has to offer and stopping at incredible locations such as Dorothy Lake, Tilden Lake, Wilma Lake, Benson Lake, Smedberg Lake, and Matterhorn Canyon. At some of these lakes you will have layover days allowing you to enjoy the great trout fishing they offer, go on day trips to nearby locations, and even hike famous peaks like Chittenden Peak. You finish your trip at Tuolumne Meadows where transportation for you and the stock back to Kennedy Meadows will be prearranged. This trip can be designed to fit the experience you want with layover days at different locations for great fishing or day trip opportunities! You can choose for this to be a hiking or riding trip as well as an all inclusive or extended hire trip (see details above). This trip is offered anywhere from 5-14 days long with layover options at stunning locations like Emigrant Lake, Huckleberry Lake, Snow Lake, Maxwell Lake and many others! The world class trout fishing along the way is some of the best to be had. You can end your trip back at Kennedy Meadows or head out one of the surrounding trailheads on the west or east side of the Sierras for an even more custom trip!
This trip option allows you to hike or ride into a camp set up in advance and stay there for the duration of your trip. While there you can enjoy the great fishing, day hiking, or just relaxing on the rivers edge! These are all-inclusive trips where we provide the camp gear, a camp cook, and food; just bring your personal items! (more details above) We offer these camps in several locations in the Emigrant Wilderness based on time of year and snow conditions but are always located at one of our premier trout fishing locations.
Possible Base Camp Locations:
**Most of these trips are private group trips, however throughout the season there will be open base camps that can accommodate smaller groups (less than 5 people) by combining smaller parties together at the same base camp. Each person is free to do whatever they want during the day but meals and nights will be together at the base camp.
